One of the most commonest psychological problems that many people suffer from to varying degrees is anxiety disorder. It can help you to quickly overcome and release negative emotions, negative thought patterns and beliefs, by simply tapping with your fingertips on 9 acupuncture points on the face and body.

Tapping points for treating all types of anxieties

You need to tune-in to your body, tune-in to how you are feeling, our body’s are speaking to us constantly all day long. Many people carry anxiety in their abdomen or in their chest, sometimes in their throat or in their head.

Tune into your abdomen, some people feel like it’s in knots or in butterflies, sometimes people feel as though their chest is feeling heavy like there’s a weight on it.

Now for the tapping points and tapping sequence…

(Point 1) The first point is the side of the hand, below the little finger. This is were we tap and we talk about what the problem actually is, we’re tuning into the problem. It’s a very gentle tapping with 3-4 fingers of one hand tapping on the side of the other hand.

What you are going to be tapping on are called meridians, and these are energy pathways throughout the body that help to calm and relax, and restore balance in our body.

(Point 2) with two fingers of one hand or with both hands tap gently on the inside of the eye brow where it meets the nose, and keep focusing on your anxiety issue.

(Point 3) with two fingers of one hand or with both hands tap gently on the side of the eye(s) on the bone, and keep tuning-in and focusing on the issue you want to let go.

(Point 4) with two fingers of one hand or with both hands tap gently under the eye also on the bone, and keep focusing on the issue you want to let go.

(Point 6) with two fingers of one hand tap gently on the crease between your bottom lip and chin, keep thinking of the issue you want to let go and say how you feel.

(Point 7) with all fingers of both hands tap just underneath the collarbone, and keep focusing on the issue you want to let go.

(Point 8) with four fingers tap on either side underneath the armpit about 3-4 inches down, and keep on focusing on the issue you want to let go.

(Point 9) with four fingers of one hand or with both hands tap right on the top of the head, thinking about the issue you want to let go… and letting it go.

Repeat one more time, going through the same tapping points again. Then finally take a deep breath in and breathe out… at this point you will begin to feel much calmer and more relaxed.
